I am a 39-year-old Tongan/Nigerian. I am interested in a teaching position at your school. I am a native English speaker.
I love teaching and I feel I could offer your school an eｎthusiastic and hardworking teacher. I have a great repport with all my students and co-workers now and in the past. They enjoy my sense of humor and my unique personality.
I am currently living in Oobari, Meito-Ku, Nagoya City .
I obtained my BSc (Petrochemical Engineering) at Benin University, Benin City, Nigeria, in 1992 and in 2003 I completed a Graduate diploma in Science at Victoria University, New Zealand.
I have had ６ years teaching experience in Japan and I enjoy teaching greatly.
In 1998, I was recruited to play professional football in Turkey and at the same time I coached children football and was involved in coaching schools.
I use to based in Osaka in 2003-2004 for 20 months. During my time there I was involved in teaching private English lessons (one on one and small groups). I had a great relationship with my students. I taught practical conversational English. The students were predominantly businessmen who were looking to improve their English conversation or were heading overseas on business trips.
This was a great experience for me to learn about a new culture and was a good way for me to understand the Japanese culture and people.
In 2005-2006, I taught at SITC international language institute in Haiphong, Vietnam. There I taught a wide range of classes, children to adults. Their abilities and ages varied greatly from class to class. I taught a program for children which involved preparing interesting activities, games and songs to supplement the course teaching book. The other classes ranged from elementary classes, which introduced students to the English language, through to listening and conversation classes for students who have a good understanding of English and want to focus more on conversational English.
In August 2006, I relief taught for Educnet. I taught preschool through to adult conversation classes.
In 2010, i taught for Riba kids. As a part time teacher here I teught at international school and also teach ESL to elementary and junior high aged children.
I worked for Seiha Group. Here I taught at an International Preschool and also I taught ESL to pre-school and elementary aged children. I enjoyed this position greatly.
In 2012-2013 till now as an ALT for w5 staff services co.LTD here I teach in 3 elementary schools and all my student cant wait to take my class .my students always want to eat lunch with me I am famous among the kids .and at present i am a coach for LEO nagoya FC youth soccer team from the age of 2 to the age of 14 .presently working full time as an KET kagamigahara English teacher .I teach 5 days a week at elementary school and junior high sch
I make resources to use in these classes and prepare interesting activities to supplement the teaching book .
I am famous among the kids. my student can't wait to take my class it is a great experience for me
I believe I have obtained some good teaching skills and experience from this, which will help me in a new teaching position.
As I have traveled and experienced many cultures I believe I am an open minded, confident, mature and responsible person. I believe that I have many things I can offer schools and students.
To me, teaching is about making learning an exciting, fun and satisfying experience that can be remembered.
